Presentation of Georgian Programme to train as Building Manager

 

On 27 Mai 2021, the partners of the "Master of My House - Share Good Perspectives" project invited Georgian stakeholders to a virtual workshop. The purpose of the event was to present the modular programme developed in Georgia for training as a Building Manager. Among the participants were representatives of vocational and higher education institutions, the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science, the State Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and real estate development companies operating in Georgia.

 

The programme is based on German experience and includes the following modules:

- Introduction to a Bulding Manager's activities

- Legal framework

- Maintenance and inspection of the building and related infrastructure

- Practical exercises

- Communication skills

- Entrepreneurship

- Foreign language

 

As a "World Café", the second part of the workshop was dedicated to the discussion and collection of ideas for the dissemination of the project results and the future establishment of the new programme and the profession "Building Manager".

 

The project was realized jointly by IWO and the NGOs CHCA and & EDEC based in Kutaisi and Tbilisi, the non-profit foundation EBZ in Bochum and the Hanse Parlament e.V.. It was funded by the German Foreign Office (AA) within the framework of the program "Expansion of Cooperation with Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries and Russia".
