In the first year of the project, the ENABLE project partners established cooperation with other international initiatives in Kazakhstan that focus on improving the energy efficiency of buildings:

Joint events
Three events were jointly prepared and held in Astana:
- 18 October 2024 – Conference “Challenges of energy efficiency improvement in the housing sector of Kazakhstan” ⇒ Resumee of the conference (EN)
- 6 November 2024 – Round table “Improving energy efficiency of real estate fund – business opportunities” ⇒ Resumee of the Round Table (EN)
- 7 November 2024 – Panel session: “Energy saving in the communal sector and buildings” at the IV International Forum on Energy Saving.
Next year, the International Initiatives plan to work together on Roadmaps for practical implementation of energy-saving measures in the modernisation of buildings / multi-family residential buildings. The work will involve partner cities of the project ENABLE ─ Almaty, Astana, Petropavlovsk) and Kokshetau, where a pilot project on complex energy modernisation of residential buildings is being implemented (see button “Round Table”, right column).
The partners of the three initiatives will not only jointly benefit from savings in costs and human resources and improve project efficiency, but the goal of these projects and programmes, the ‘development of energy efficiency policy in buildings in Kazakhstan’, will also be achieved with better results.
