German Association for International Education and Exchange (IBB)
The objective of the project, which was supported with funds from the Belarus 2009-2011 support programme of the German government (project no. FpB: -9053), was the establishment of the International Association for Real Estate Management (IVIM) in Minsk, Belarus. The association was founded on 12 February 2010. Besides IWO, VEGIS Immobilien Verwaltungs- und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, the German-Belarusian management company Aternative Mosyr GmbH, owners’ associations from Minsk, Vitebsk and Lida, the municipal housing company from Zhodino and the housing owners’ association from St. Petersburg, Russia were involved in the project – and have been active in IVIM since then.
As the first association of housing management in Belarus, IVIM aims to support the sustainable development of housing management and help develop the necessary economic and legal framework. The association aims to improve the professionalization of housing property managers, especially in the course of training and further education activities. The association represents the interests of its international members, adds legislative initiatives to the political and professional discourse and offers its competence and advice regarding real-estate managemen to the responsible authorities. The association also opens up opportunities for its members to engage in bi- and multilateral professional dialogue with German, European and Russian associations, as well as access to the latest know-how and up-to-date standards in other countries.
