Managers for building refurbishment in Kazakhstan
The German-Kazakh project “Introduction of a qualification as a building refurbishment manager with a focus on energy efficiency at the International University of Cooperative Education Turan-Profi in Kazakhstan” aimed at making a sustainable, practical contribution to the need for qualification in the field of energy-efficient building refurbishment in Kazakhstan. The PPP project was supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the develoPPP.de programme “Vocational Education, Training and Qualification” and by sequa gGmbH and was implemented from 2012 until 2013. On the German side, the consortium included IWO, Viessmann Werke GmbH & Co KG, Profine GmbH (International Profile Group) and Lacufa GmbH Lacke & Farben. Jointly with the Kazakh partners, they developed the curriculum of further training, which in future will be led by lecturers from the “Turan-Profi” academy and supported by experts from the housing and municipal sector and the construction industry. The introduction of the practice-oriented further education was accompanied by a series of events in five regions of Kazakhstan.
