PROfessional HOUSEing Management in Central Asia

The latest building refurbishment activities in Kazakhstan and its Central Asian neighbours reveal the great need for modernisation of housing management. In order to strengthen corresponding structures in the countries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and to pave the way for more energy efficiency in buildings, IWO launched the ‘Professional Housing Management in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (Pro House)’ project in December 2016. Ultimately, sustainably establishing strong, efficient, market- and competition-oriented housing management structures will be crucial for the success and reach of the government programmes. Professionally qualified administrative staff and owners, who are given their due role as co-responsible stakeholders and decision-makers, represent important keys to the necessary increae of energy-efficient refurbishments in the building sector.
