Seed Money Care@Home
Seed money enables the preparation of project applications in line with the Action Plan for the European Union Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). The projects will be prepared to apply for funding from any EU, national or other funding sources. The preparation phase funded by the Programme seed money covers the planning of “main project” activities, partnership, and budget as well as investigation of the thematic field and potential funding sources. Furthermore, it enables networking activities aiming at building strategic partnerships and exchange with responsible Policy Area Coordinators (PACs) and Horizontal Action Coordinators (HACs) of the EUSBSR Action Plan.
As housing companies usually lacks know-how in the care sector, it’s all about forming cooperations with care service providers to address the individual needs of the elderly. Identifying effective ways for a cooperation in home care & housing is the main objective of the Care@Home action. The project brings together housing & care professionals to identify, apply and sustain customisable, adoptable, innovative approaches & solutions. At the same time it will make sure that affected residents are involved and can participate in various stages of the project to raise acceptance for and suitability of actions.
The main concern of Care@Home is to find, describe and test ways for optimising and/or developing adaptable service and management approaches and solutions. The main project will apply and use available hardware, technologies and software to this end, but will not be about developing any new hardware or technical solutions itself. However, testing activities and findings in the project might point to missing technical solutions and shortcomings of existing ones. International projects promote knowledge transfer and exchange and facilitate the identification of good and best practice examples and spreading findings and lessons learned from pilots/tests implemented during the project.
