Training events on the topics "housing manager" and "caretaker" as part of the VITAL EAST project 

The apartment building manager is a key person in coordinating complex tasks - financial, technical, organizational. In the German-Ukrainian project VITAL EAST „Vocational Training for housing managers and caretakers in the regions of Ukraine - Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv“, a number of events took place, the target group  are young people (especially internally displaced persons), who are interested in learning more about professions in housing management. Participants of the seminars had the opportunity to get acquainted not only with the profession of an apartment building manager,improve their qualifications, but also learned about the activities of a „caretaker”. This profession is well established not only in Germany, but is gaining more and more popularity in post-Soviet countries, in particular in Ukraine. Local seminars took place in September 2021 both, in Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv.

The international webinar, which presented the experience of Germany in the field of residential real estate management, as well as the experience of Belarus in the implementation of the „caretaker“ profession, took place on 21-23 September 2021 in a hybrid format.

These events were organized by IWO e.V. together with partners from Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Lviv, along with the participation of representatives of regional state administrations in  Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia

After successfully completed 72 hour training, participants received certificates and the top 10 most successful students will be invited to an educational trip to the European Educational Center of the Housing and Real Estate Industry (EBZ), Bochum, Germany.
