Further developing the topic increasing energy efficiency in buildings in Kazakhstan

 

 


 

In continuation of the international conference ‘Problems of Energy Efficiency Improvement in the Residential Sector of Kazakhstan’, which took place on 18.10.2024 in Astana, a round table ‘Improving the energy efficiency of the building stock ─ opportunities for business’ will be organised. This event is part of the ‘VI International Forum on Energy Saving’ and will take place on 06.11.2024 at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" in Astana, B. Momyshuly 2/1 (conference hall).

 

Aim:

To bring together representatives of local administrations responsible for housing and municipal services and the construction industry to solve problems related to improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

Tasks:

  • Development of the project office as a strategic development tool representing a structure responsible for energy efficiency in buildings (new construction, modernisation) and working according to modern rules of an efficient management;
  • Discussion with interested regions on the development of a roadmap for the practical implementation of energy saving measures for the modernisation of buildings / multi-family houses in order to gain practical experience for the development of the national programme.

 

The round table and the forum are taking place as part of the ‘Kazakhstan-Germany Energy Dialogue’, German Energy Agency (dena), Berlin, Germany and with the participation of international projects:

  • ‘ENABLE - Empowered Civil Society for a Sustainable and Efficient City’, funded by the European Union’
  • ‘Eastern Partnership and Central Asia FELICITY II Programme - Financing Energy for Low-carbon Investment -Cities Advisory Facility’, funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) as part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI)
