EU project ENABLE launches online training programme in Kazakhstan

Purpose of the programme

Increasing the level of knowledge of civil society organisations (CSOs) on sustainable development issues, strengthening their influence on decision-making and teaching skills in the field of public policy through the management of apartment buildings. Topics include sustainable urban development, energy efficiency and energy-efficient modernisation of buildings.

The Training of Trainers (ToT) webinar series is divided into two parts: ToT I and ToT II and aims to train trainers for the further dissemination of this knowledge.

 

Topic and key questions

 

ToT I. "Energy efficiency in buildings"

 

  • Energy efficiency policies in buildings: legal and regulatory aspects
  • Large-scale modernisation of the housing stock: legal and financial instruments, project organisation, quality control, etc. - International experience and practice
  • Challenges and opportunities for civil society

ToT II. "CSO capacity building."

 

  • State policy in the field of civil society development
  • State support for the activities of civil society organisations
  • Capacity building of civil society organisations through training
  • Housing self-governance as an element of civic participation and public policy
 

Main target audience

Representatives of civil society organisations and local authorities dealing with issues of housing and energy saving in buildings.

As the events are held online, all those interested in the topics of ToT I and ToT II are welcome to participate.

 

Duration

80 academic hours: ToT I. + ToT II.
Webinars will be held in blocks of 2-4 academic hours per week
Start: October 2024 - end: March / April 2025.

 

 

Certifications:

Representatives of civil society organisations who have participated in at least 85% of the webinars of ToT I and ToT II, as well as successfully passed the test, will receive a certificate of the international EU project ENABLE and get the opportunity to be invited for a study tour to Lithuania (for 2 participants from each ENABLE partner regions: Astana, Almaty, Petropavlovsk) with subsequent participation in the competition awarding grants to civil society organisations for projects on ‘Energy Efficiency in Residential Buildings’.

 

Participants from civil society organisations who participated in at least 65% of the webinars will receive a certificate of participation.

 

Representatives of other organisations who participated in 85% of the ToT I webinars and passed the test will also receive a certificate from the international project ENABLE.
