EDINA – energy-efficient development of special revitalisation zones and urban areas

The project “Energy-efficient development in Special Revitalisation Zones and Urban Areas (EDINA)" funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) has just started. The project involves the sequential carrying out of preparatory and implementation activities, including information meetings, workshops and pilot training. The results of these measures are to be used to produce specific products, toolkits (developed methods, guidelines), training materials, audio-visual materials for self-education in the field of energy efficiency improvement. The newly developed instrument will guide the municipalities on various legal instrument and possibilities in the areas covered by the Special Revitalisation Zone. The project will also develop an energy efficiency calculator, based on the financial efficiency calculator, which is a product of a pilot project in the field of revitalization in Walbrzych.

The developed methods and products will then be disseminated to private and public entities in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Hungary. The project will contribute to increasing the competence of consumers to use appropriate tools to improve the energy efficiency of buildings in the public and private sector, including buildings with a complex ownership structure.
