“Energy-efficient development of special revitalisation zones and urban areas (EDINA)” workshops

EDINA Project


Jointly, the Institute of Urban and Regional Development (IRMiR), the Energy Conservation Foundation (FPE) and IWO organise a three-part workshop series as part of the “Energy-efficient development of special revitalisation zones and urban areas (EDINA)” project.

The project is funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

The participants of the workshop are experts in the field of energy, architecture and urban planning from Germany and Poland, as well as other specialists, practitioners in the field of revitalisation and representatives of Polish cities who have established Special Revitalisation Zones.

German and international know-how is represented by the company for urban planning, architecture and regional consulting insar consult, architect and professor Christoph Wessling and city planner Marcus Jeutner. In the second workshop the German experience in financing the energy efficient revitalization of urban areas will be presented by Kay Pöhler PhD, KfW Bank.

The main objective of the workshops is to develop energy efficiency norms / standards for private buildings under renovation as well as a toolkit for improving the energy efficiency of buildings in revitalisation areas.

The workshops will be held on the ZOOM communication platform.

Kick-Off Workshop – International Perspective on energy efficiency (12 February 2021)
2nd Workshop – Focus: Solutions for urban revitalisation area  (26 February 2021)
3rd Workshop – Focus: Improvement of energy efficiency of buildings (12 March 2021)
