Kick-Off in Slovakia

On 28 and 29 November 2023 the lead partner Habitat for Humanity International hosted the project kick-off of the LIFE project ComActivate in the Slovakian capital.

This was a great opportunity to meet all project partners in person and discuss the upcoming tasks in the project. The project started in November and continues the work from the Horizon2020 project ComAct on the topic of energy poverty. Many project partners from ComAct are also part of this partner consortium. New partners are the municipalities of Kaisiadorys (LT) and Budapest-Jozsefvaros (HU), which are highly motivated to implement new measures in their neighbourhoods.

The project focuses on three pilot projects in the EU countries Bulgaria, Lithuania and Hungary. In these projects, approaches of the individual renovation roadmap are being tested and, expanding on this, functioning approaches to neighbourhood solutions for energy efficiency are being developed in the respective countries. The focus will not only be on energy efficiency, but also on energy sufficiency.

IWO is looking forward to continuing the successful cooperation with some of the partners known from other projects and to deepening it with new partners and fresh impulses.
